The shareholders of Haynes Benefits are pleased to announce that Michelle A. Schmidt has passed the bar exam and has joined the firm as a full-time associate. Michelle is not new to Haynes Benefits; she has been a law clerk here for the past year before completing her degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in the spring 2009.

Michelle brings a unique health care perspective to the firm, she studied medicine from 2001-2004 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She also holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her medical and business backgrounds — coupled with her legal education — will allow Michelle to bring hands on experience and knowledge to navigate complex legal issues associated with health care plans.
